ORCHID ORCHESTRA

“Orchid Orchestra is a four-piece indie pop band based in Vancouver, BC, known for their unique blend of hip-hop, choral music, and theatrical influences. Led by English-born songwriter Rupert Hudson, who grew up between England, Calgary and South Carolina, the group’s music reflects Rupert’s multifaceted life experiences. After years working in the music industry and touring with artists like Chance The Rapper, Rupert took a two-year hiatus for self-reflection, including time in isolation as a fire lookout. The band met at Vancouver’s Chorus Studio, a community-based choir space, and quickly became a fixture in the city’s music scene, headlining venues like the Biltmore and playing local festivals. With their second EP, Be Lucky, now available and featuring the standout single “Nothing,” Orchid Orchestra continues to bring their thoughtful, dynamic sound to an ever-growing audience.”
