THE LONG WAR
“The Long War is a Vancouver-based band known for their captivating blend of indie rock and folk. The group gained national attention after winning the 2017 CBC Searchlight competition with their award-winning song "Breathe In Breathe Out." Their evocative lyrics and harmonious melodies, showcased in their debut album "Landscapes," reflect the diverse and dynamic spirit of Canada's west coast. Building on their success, they released their second album, "Under a Heavy Sky," further cementing their reputation with its introspective themes and rich soundscapes. D.L. FORREST
“Daniel L. Forrest is a singer songwriter from Lenni Lanape land (“Philadelphia, PA”), now based in Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh lands (“Vancouver, BC”). DL grew up spending summers at the Philadelphia Folk Festival, but until 2022, remained a fan of the genre, while he wrote indie rock songs in the band, Buddie. Yearning for that comfort of home, a switch went off when attending the Vancouver Folk Festival. Now, inspired by North American folk music he grew up on, DL combined his favorite parts of folk, rock, Americana, and pop. In his latest batch of songs, he speaks about the overwhelming grief in the air, puts a magnifying glass to day-to-day life, and finds joy in music and community.”

Purchase here https://tinyurl.com/mwwcumk5
$5.00 from every ticket sold goes to the Vancouver Food Bank.
Join us for a celebration of peace and love featuring original songs from our body of work, some favourites and from the original Peacenik John Lennon.
December 8th 1980, the world was shocked to learn that John Lennon had been brutally gunned down. This December will mark 44 years since that sad day. Lennon was a messenger, spreading the word of peace, love, respect, dignity and tolerance.
More and more today we see our world in social decline, we see the great divide amongst people and we feel it's up to all of us to be the change we want to see in the world.
John Lennon was not the first person to sing of peace, but Vancouver-based group Peacenik Collective is determined he shall not be the last.
Peacenik Collective has been dubbed a super-group, being compiled of highly acclaimed, award-winning musicians, each having recorded and performed over decades in many outstanding projects. Notably, Bruce Coughlan (Bare Facts, The Hightops, Tiller’s Folly) just won International Male Vocalist of the Year at the ISSA Awards; Gord Maxwell (One Horse Blue, Ian Tyson, The Gords, Chilliwack) has been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame (with Chilliwack) and the BC Country Music Hall of Fame (with One Horse Blue); Marc Gladstone (Doug & the Slugs, Abandon Paris, Stone Poets, Prism) has been inducted into the Canadian Walk of Fame (with Prism); Cherelle Jardine (The Jardines, Stone Poets) is an Ethel Tibbits and Richmond Art Award recipient; Scott Jackson (Abandon Paris, Stone Poets) garnered extensive radio play for his solo albums “My World” and “Distractions”; Greg Stuart has toured with iconic performers including Frank Mills and Bo Diddley.

April’s theme and feature performer is TBD.
On the first Thursday of every month upstairs at The ANZA Club, we'll gather to share songs, hone our performance skills and revel in the joy that is live music! Our focus is on live, original tunes but folks are of course welcome to play covers or perform spoken word as well. Each month's theme is meant to inspire and encourage you to write or learn something new.
Doors open and sign up 6:30, show starts at 7pm. Performers get 2 staff price drink tickets, $5 cover and members get in free (only $15 a year so absolutely worth it). List is run on a first come, first serve basis. 2 songs each or roughly 10 mins.
Bring your instruments, some pals to listen and please try to avoid the ol' strum and split. Stick around and support your community!

Welcome to Glitch, Vancouver's newest dungeon party!
Glitch Anza will be held at the Anza Club located at 3 West 8th Avenue, Vancouver. Door open at 8pm and the party goes until 1am. Please familiarize yourself with the distinct differences between Glitch events hosted at the Anza Club and Glitch events hosted at the Maritime Labour Center.
Tickets are now on sale and must be purchased in advance. There will be no tickets available at the door. Purchase your tickets here: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/glitch-anza-tickets-717520020697
Why Glitch? The Matrix suggests that the life we’re living — the people we know, the experiences we have, what we see, touch, think, and feel — is an illusion, an artificial façade. If life is a simulation, at Glitch you can get a glimpse of what's behind the illusion. A place to explore the subversive, twist reality to your devious desires and bask in the delicious energy of kink - at least for a night - before returning to your day to day.
Glitch is produced by Encrypted Events, an event production company founded by Sara Blaze and Scott Knight. Between them, the founders have over 15 years of experience creating and producing exceptional alternative lifestyle events in both Vancouver and Victoria.

HALEY AHONEN
"Haley Ahonen, coming from Delta, BC, Canada, is an emerging singer/songwriter whose voice is sultry, rich, and reminiscent of old soul records falling somewhere in between Amy Winehouse and Adele.
Starting in choir when she was young and pursuing music daily ever since, her performance and repertoire is a wide mix of Pop, R&B/Soul and jazz-influenced sounds, contemporary classics and original compositions that span all of those genres and more. She’s recorded with producers such as Ben Dunnill and Keep Clarity releasing her first singles solo in 2024, ‘Mr. Moon Man’ and ‘Wanted’. Following that was a collaboration with singer/songwriter Jordan King leading in to her debut EP, “Dreamer” featuring the moving “Just A Little Rain” written entirely by Haley herself.
Her sophomore EP is due out later this year."
