What's better than a hilarious show about love and connection on Valentinue's weekend? How about two!
This double header features Fistful of Kicks, Vancouver's long running all-asian Canadian improv troupe presenting Everything Improvised Everywhere Simultaneously, inspired by the hit movie "Everything Everywhere All At Once". Join some of Vancouver's fastest and funniest East-Asian improvisers for an unforgettable journey exploring two characters whose relationship is in peril. Only through exploring their alternate selves in adjacent universes, can they find out what they've slowly lost through the mundane drudgery of everyday life. PLUS, our multiverse journey will be fuelled by your suggestions placed in our patented On-Stage Rice Cooker. AND IF THAT WASN'T ENOUGH, we'll also have some amazing Asian-infused short form games to kick off the show, with silliness and fun abound! It's an hour and a half of nonstop Asian-inspired comedy you won't want to miss!
Then, the Spontaneous Shakespeare Company return with a brand new format, Much Ado About Blank, an improvised Shakespearian comedy inspired by plays like "A Midsummer Night's Dream", "As You Like It" and "All's Well That Ends Well". Disguises, mistaken identities, plots gone awry, who knows what will happen? The only guarentee is that SOMEBODY is getting married. This is paired with the immensely popular Drunk Shakespeare, where the actors will present an entirely rehearsed authentic Shakespeare scene... with a spirited twist! As one performer drunkenly attempts to keep the scene and themselves together, for the rest of the cast improv will most certainly be required!
