A group of volunteers from the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) Canada is hosting a Psychedelic Solstice Party with the aim of bringing together the larger community of individuals and organizations who support the safe and legal use of psychedelic medicine for an evening of intentional community building, networking, knowledge sharing, games, music, and celebration!
Local organizations that promote psychedelic research, plant medicine, and harm reduction will have the first opportunity to purchase tickets before we promote public sales.
The event will be catered with a selection of hot and cold appetizers including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. There will be a psychedelic trivia contest with prizes, and interactive displays including a henna-painting station! (See full schedule below).
A cash bar service will be provided courtesy of our fabulous hosts at the Anza Club.
This is a non-profit event and tickets are priced at cost. The evening is not about making money, it is about bringing people together to help change the world!
The following is a tentative schedule for the evening:
6:00pm - 7:00pm: Opening ceremony, assorted appetizers, meet and greet, live music by Iven, performance by Joy, grounding ceremony.
7:00pm - 8:00pm: Playshop exercise led by Vince.
8:00pm - 8:30pm: Psychedelic Trivia contest with prizes.
8:00pm - 9:00pm: Talks/presentations/performances. "Shine A Light" open mic: share your thoughts on psychedelic medicine, and an opportunity for live performances from the audience.
9:00pm - 10:30pm: Live performances and music.
10:30pm - 1:30am: DJ music & dancing.
1:30am: Last call for drinks.
2:00am: Done and dusted.
This is a participatory event and everyone who is interested will have a chance to share their thoughts and feelings about what psychedelics mean to them and what role they think legalizing psychedelic medicine could play in society.
We hope you can join us for what will surely be an unforgettable evening filled with meaningful connections. Dress however you feel comfortable, from casual to psychedelic to classy, and everything in between! This is a safe space! Let us know if you need any special accommodations (especially in regard to mobility as the Anza Club has stairs) and we will do our best to support you.
This event is generously sponsored by the wonderful team at Nature's Entourage: https://naturesentourage.ca/
Can't wait to see you there!
Love,
Toj.
